Hans-Ruedi Hinni, a former supervisor of wells in Suhr (AG), gave the company its name and is also the inventor of an apparatus for the revision of hydrants while they are under full net pressure. With the registration of the patent in 1990, the business was founded and since 2017, Hinni AG now belongs to the BKW/Arnold group and is well positioned for the future.
Dedication to service has always been our driver from the beginning and we are offering our products and services throughout Switzerland. Our leakage detection system LORNO is also available internationally. With our 5 Swiss service centres, we are positioned close to our customers in Switzerland and our international customers can rely on our highly qualified distributor network.
Our range of services in the field of hydrant control, maintenance and revision has been supported by the delivery of replacement parts for all hydrant variations that have been available in Switzerland since 1898.
In spring 1995, we entered the market with our new hydrants-business. This included the international patented invention of a height-adjustable lower part of the hydrant as well as a new concept for the stomium. and a variable equipment of the leavings of the hydrants with Storz 55/75 as well as the coating made from corrosion preventing email. These early technological milestones have offered our customers the best possible user friendliness up to now. The single-arm top part model 6006 (1x75) is until today the best selling top part of a hydrant in Switzerland.
In addition to our services targeting hydrant and slide valves, there is also the control system LORNO with automated alerts (Leak detection in the water pipeline network, water purchase and filling level control of the hydrants). LORNO can either be built into the hydrants or into the transporting pipelines. Additionally the DBH (Hinni DataBase for easy management of hydrants and valve inventory) supports the water supply in terms of quality control concerning the fitting area and completes our service offering.
The Hinni Company is both the financial and technological frontrunner in this sector. We employ 130 highly qualified and motivated employees and offer various apprenticeships. The strong innovative power of Hinni AG is proven through our many patents.
