Option FOX
Due to the on-going development and the modular concept of LORNO we can also offer the FOX Option in addition to the leak detection. FOX Option allows leak localisation through correlation.
If the LORNO Fox option is installed, the system is able to perform automatic leak detection through cross correlation.
After an incoming leak report is registered (red bar on the time-line and a received message in the LCU), LORNO automatically starts a cross-correlation to locate the leak.
The possible leak position(s) is/are shown on a map.
A correlation is also shown as a water drop on the timeline of the hydrant.
Note: The more precise the GIS data, the more precise is the leak localisation.
How does the leak localisation work?
By means of the delay time after comparing the noise measurements and the information about the pipelines (Material and DN imported from the GIS-data), one or several leak locations is/ are calculated, based on the accuracy of the data and the network topology.
On the correlation page of the LCU, information can be analysed and rated.
The noise measurements are illustrated in a frequency diagram as well as in a sonogram. For every noise measurement of executed calculated correlation, there is an audio data file available.
